My positions were within all o f the Department of Defense Agencies (Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Army); Offi ce of Homeland Security and Provost Marshal (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers a" reh ired annuitant cadre a" intermittent position); Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Public Health Service; Defense Contract Administration Services Reg ion, Atlanta; as well as close working relations with various foreign dignitarie s and parliamentary personnel, U.S. State Department and foreign embassies, cons ulate offices, and foreign military entities. I provided services within the G overnment as an Accounting Technician and Certifying Officer /Approving Official for 7 government credit card holders and was responsible for ensuring proper po licies and procedures were utilized in the purchase of materials and supplies fo r various repair department; Administrative Services Specialist (supporting the U.S. Army and German Army in conference presentations in Central Asia and the fo rmer Soviet Union states); Program Specialist and Trainer in travel order prepar ation, federal travel and payment processing; as well as, Supervisory Transporta tion Assistant/Travel Audit Specialist where I trained voucher examiners to revi ew, audit travel claims for correctness and regulation guidelines, then process for payment the various types of travel claims of employees and contracted compa nies that provided services to our employees. This supervisory experience invol ved travel vouchers, updating procedural guides, incorporated review and adaptat ion of Comptroller General and Congressional regulations into our policy and pro cedures regulations. I also handled a variety of personnel issues; as appraisal s, promotions, disciplinary actions, hiring and training of new employees. Earl y in my career, I was a Supervisory Supply Clerk for a Word Processing Unit, and supervised 4 employees in supply manual preparation and updates; as well as, Fi scal Accounting Clerk/Acting Disbursing Officer, and a Procurement Assistant/Cle rk. SUMMARY OF PRIVATE SECTOR EXPERIENCE: My private sector experience was gained t hrough part time employment, attending college and technical training during my off time from the Government in order to expand my experience. After retirement I have worked in a variety of special projects through contracted, intermittent , and part time employment obtained through major staffing companies, referrals, and personal initiatives. These positions consisted of Office Administrator, A ccounting Technician, Administrative Assistant, Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accou nts Payable and Collection Clerk, Data Entry Clerk, Time and Billing Specialist, and Cost Review Database Assistant with such companies as Boeing Aircraft, Moti on Industries (part of NAPA Parts Company), numerous contractors that had projec ts and contracts with the Southern Company, Alabama Power, Gadsden Steam Plant i n Alabama. I also worked as a freelance, independent contractor with domestic a nd international companies in the field of transcription. These companies requi red digital transcription of closed captioning for television shows (not real ti me), opinion and product review surveys, corporate interviews for recruiting, an d international legal-transcription of fraud and court hearings, verbatim interv iews with 2 or more persons present (but not simultaneous). The legal and court

interviews were between police, investigators, suspects and witnesses at the Se rious Fraud Office in England, as well as criminal court cases for the Queens Co urt in England, involving Judges, Attorneys (Solicitors), witnesses and defendan ts. This work was subcontracted from the Ubiqus Company in Ireland and New York . I bring to the table many years of experience and teamwork in various fields of supervision, business administration, accounting, procurement, supply, and confe rencing. I not only have worked for the U.S. Government, but have worked and tr aveled overseas; owned a travel agency in my residence, where I designed and hos ted tours, both in United States and Europe. I have also trained and worked in an Emergency Room and Maternity/Delivery areas of a hospital as an Admitting Reg istrar. Thus, showing I work well under pressure in a time and information sens itive area. My experienced background of over 40 years includes supervision of 6 employees in travel audit and 4 employees in the supply field. In addition, m y experience consists of a variety of administrative responsibilities, accountin g, collections, financial tracking of costs and manpower; travel and hospitality ; conferencing, diplomatic service; and admissions in ER, OB/GYN, and outpatien t testing in hospitals. I have also been the recipient of over 17 Performance Appraisal Awards; e.g., Ou tstanding Performance, Sustained Superior (SSP), Quality (QSI) Award, Excellent Performance Appraisals as well as Group Honor Award at CDC for Administrative Se rvices, and also received 5 Special Act of Service Awards for assisting various Departments at CDC for training their individual and group voucher examiners in travel preparation and regulations. SKILLS: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point (limited), Excess, Outlook Express, Microsoft Windows XP, and other various computer software programs and equipment utilized by commercial companies setup by corporate IT persons. I have utilized a" Expr ess Scribe, Byte Scribe WavPlayer, Swift Text Word Expander, and Doc Shuttle in my transcription experience. I learned various Accounting Systems - CEFMS, EngL ink, MAS90, WOMS, Quicken - Office Machines and Equipment a" Calculators /Adding Machines, Fax Machines, Copiers; Printers; Scanners; Hospital Patient Systems a nd Hospital Business Office Systems, in order to create hospital to create arm b ands, charge cards, and charts; Travel Reservation Systems; Variety of agency re lated computer systems and databases.
