About J N T U K College of Engineering, Vizianagaram: The college has been established in the year 2007 as a constituent college of JNTU Hyderabad. Due to rapid expansion that has gone by in the field of technical education in Andhra Pradesh the University, named JNTU Kakinada came into existence from 20th August 2008 and the JNTU College of Engineering Vizianagaram has become the constituent college of JNTU Kakinada. The college has made rapid strides since its formation and playing a pivotal role in the technological advances of the region. The college is offering under graduate programmes in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, EEE, ECE, CSE, IT and Civil Engineering. Post graduate programmes are also introduced various disciplines. The college is located at about six kilometers distance from Vizianagaram bus stand on a hill area in about 102 acres

OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP:

The workshop is primarily meant for young and aspiring Materials Science, Metallurgy and Mechanical Engineering researchers, students, academicians and industrial personnel at all levels and for those who wish to take a serious note of the latest developments in the field of materials and processing technologies. The main aim is to promote concerted and coordinated materials research in the country. It also aims to expose the students, teachers, researchers and engineers to some of the key developments and emerging concepts in the new materials and processing technology.Technical talks will be given by eminent professors from IITs and reputed Universities.
