Didirikan di Jakarta pada tahun 1987 melalui PT anak perusahaan nya. Dutapalma Nusantara, PT. Darmex Agro telah menjadi salah satu yang terbesar budidaya kelapa sawit, produksi, kelompok ekspor di Indonesia. Sebagai salah satu kelompok perintis perusahaan, Darmex Agro memainkan peran penting dalam membuat Indonesia Oil Palm negara terbesar yang memproduksi di dunia. Sejak awal, perusahaan telah berkembang pesat dalam memperoleh lahan untuk perkebunan kelapa sawit, membangun pabrik dan kilang untuk memenuhi permintaan yang luar biasa di dunia untuk komoditas tersebut. Established in Jakarta in 1987 through its subsidary PT. Dutapalma Nusantara, PT. Darmex Agro has become one of the largest palm oil cultivation, production, exporting group in Indonesia. As one of the pioneering group of companies, Darmex Agro played an important role in making Indonesia the biggest Palm Oil producing country in the world. Since its inception, the company has expanded rapidly in acquiring lands for palm oil cultivation, establishing mills and refinery to satisfy the world's tremendous demand for the commodity.
Currently, our plantations are located in Riau and Kalimantan. With a total of 8 palm oil mills in Pekanbaru, Jambi and Kalimantan, total production of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) is around 36,000 Mt each month. A large portion of the produce are being reprocessed at our refineries to create other derivatives such as cooking oil, soap noodle,
RBD stearin and PFAD etc.
While Darmex Agro's core business in Palm Oil Mills, Plantation and Refinery, it's portfolio has expanded to include various processing and storage facilities as well as shipping infrastructure. The swift expansion of PT. Darmex Agro in these various fields allows it the extensively integrate the complex processes in supplying high quality palm based derivatives in a timely and efficient manner. Headquartered in Jakarta, Darmex Agro currently employs more than 13,000 staff in Indonesia.
In 2008, the Company consolidated its subsidiaries to increase the Company ownership up to 95%, this corporate move is part of Darmex strategy to achieve its target on growth.
Plantations
Recognising the discerning demands for quality products, Darmex Agro shows careful attention on every detail including the quality of its seedlings and development process. It uses high yielding material common plantations throughout South East Asia known as 'Tenera', which has a high bunch weight and oil content. Darmex Agro acquires its germinated seeds from Socfin and Marihat, which are planted in the nursery and selected before grown in plantation area. Recently, a substantial seed garden has been established to supply Darmex Agro with palm tree seeds. At present, Darmex Agro owns eight plantation areas, spread across Riau province, Sumatra in Benai, Cerenti, Bangkinang, Siberida, Kota Tengah, Baserah and Palalawan. The rest is in Statok, West Kalimantan. Excellent land management with careful planning and commitment, has contributed to Darmex Agro's expansion and highly efficient production. CRUDE PALM OIL
PT. Darmex Agro core business is in the cultivation of Oil Palm's ( Elaeis guineensis) crude palm oil for sale and export. Palm oil is an edible plant oil derived from the fruit and kernels of the oil Palm. The oil is widely used as a cooking oil (PALMA BRAND MINYAK GORENG) and is a component of many processed foods. It is also an important component of many cosmetic products such as soaps, washing powders and personal care products, it can also be used to treat wounds, and increasingly as the leading biomass that can be used as a renewable energy source to reduce net emissions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
PALM KERNEL OIL
Palm Kernel Oil (PKO) Palm kernel oil is derived from kernels of palm fruits. The fruit is reddish about the size of a large plum and grows in large bunches. A bunch of fruits can weigh between 10 to 40 kilograms. Each fruit contains a single seed (the palm kernel) surrounded by a soft oily pulp. Oils are extracted from both the pulp of the fruit (palm oil, edible oil) and the kernel (palm kernel oil, used mainly for soap manufacture). PT. Darmex Agro with its subsidiaries produced 91,000 MT of Palm Kernel annually. The extract the oil to become Crude Palm Kernel Oil (CPKO). Palm kernel lathers well in almost any type of water. It lends to a very white, wonderfully lathering, hard bar of soap. Palm kernel oil does offer moisturizing goods, such as cosmetics and body care products - if used in correct proportion with other oils. Palm Kernel Expeller is known for its balanced energy and protein, high fibred, good level of residual oil and high in palmitic acid. Our crushing plant is managed under PT Taluk Kuantan Perkasa, which is located in Dumai, Riau, which has a milling capacity of 600 tons kernel per day to produce around 270 tons of palm kernel oil and 290 tons of palm kernel expeller.

SOAP NOODLE Our Soap noodles are Palm Oil based which contains three kind of materials for use as follow : RBD Stearin, RBD Palm Oil (RBD PO) and also RBD CNO (Coconut Oil). Which three kind of these material will be mix together in a large storage and will be added with chemicals by using boiling process so the final process will be in the dryer machine which the soap noodles are produced. PALMA Cooking Oil Palma is an exclusive brand for our high quality cooking oil produced and distributed by Darmex Agro subsidary, PT Darmex Oil & Fats.The company has been producing Palma cooking oil since late 2002’s. Palma is a fully refined vegetable oil made from selected quality palm oil that is rich in Vitamin A and E which is also non cholesterol. Strict quality control measures are imposed for the production and processsing of Palma Cooking Oil. Such State of the art technology and methods were being implemented by the professionals in the edible oil industry. Palma range of Palma product comes in a different size of packaging to cater the different needs of our customer. It comes in handy 1 and 2 Liters standing pouches, also 5 and 18 Liters jerry cans. These products can be easily found in all major hypermarkets, mini markets and traditional markets in Indonesia.

Others
COMPOSTING Palm oil mills generally produce large quantities (0.5 to 0.6 tons per ton FFB) of Palm Oil Mill Effluent (“POME”) and 20% Empty Fruit Bunches (“EFB”). These wastes are professionaly -handled and mainly recycled into fertilizers. These measures support sustainability production method for a better environment. Stringent supervision is also enforced on emission sfrom the boilers to comply with statutory requirements in Indonesia.

COMPOSTING Palm oil mills generally produce large quantities (0.5 to 0.6 tons per ton FFB) of Palm Oil Mill Effluent (“POME”) and 20% Empty Fruit Bunches (“EFB”). These wastes are professionaly -handled and mainly recycled into fertilizers. These measures support sustainability production method for a better environment. Stringent supervision is also enforced on emission sfrom the boilers to comply with statutory requirements in Indonesia.
