FRESHMEN AND TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIPS AT FELICIAN COLLEGE Felician College has restructured its undergraduate scholarship awards to better accommodate students during these difficult economic times. Our awards are very generous: - Freshmen scholarships: from $9,000 to full tuition, based on either high school GPA or SAT score - Transfer scholarships: from $8,000 to $16,500, based on cumulative GPA from any college or university in the world the student transfers from All scholarships are renewable for up to four years of study, and unlike our previous scholarships, students are not required to take the SAT or ACT in order to receive the award. A combination of SAT/ACT score and high school GPA is only required for students who wish to receive a full tuition scholarship. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AT LAKE FOREST COLLEGE Every well-qualified international student offered admission is guaranteed to receive a Global Enrichment Scholarship award of $15,000 per year ($60,000 over four years). Forester Scholarships, ranging from $3000 to $8000, recognize a dedication to academics, the arts, sciences and community. Scholarship awards will be prioritized for those students who submit their Forester Scholarship application with their application for admissions. Majoring in a particular area is not a requirement of any scholarship. Lake Forest College is one of the nation’s most innovative liberal arts colleges. This position is designed for individuals who have recently completed their Ph.D. with the opportunity to participate in career development workshops and our division-wide faculty mentoring program. Eligible candidates will have received a Ph.D. no earlier than May 2007. Preferred qualifications include demonstrated expertise in international, global, and/or multicultural communication and/or media and the ability to teach research methods. The department has foci in film, new media, journalism, strategic communication, politics, law and ethics, and health communication. Applications review will begin after May 15, 2010. C A L L F O R A P P L I C A T I O N S , V I S I T I N G S C H O L A R S , T H E I N S T I T U T E F O R A DV A N C E D S T U D Y , P R I N C E T O N UNIVERSITY The Institute for Advanced Study is an independent private institution founded in 1930 to create a community of scholars focused on intellectual inquiry, free from teaching and other university obligations. Each year scholars from around the world apply to come to the Institute to pursue their own research. Each year up to twenty visiting scholars are offered a membership for a set period and a stipend. Members receive access to the extensive resources of the Institute, including offices, access to libraries, subsidized restaurant and housing facilities, and some secretarial services. A completed doctorate or equivalent is required by the application deadline, and memberships are awarded at both the junior and senior levels. The theme for 2011-2012 is Moralities.
