Dear Friend of Cal Poly,
I have written this letter to assist our project management students who are contacting local businesses regarding a worthwhile community service project called Poly House. Any assistance that your business can provide will go toward a great cause and will be greatly appreciated. Every spring my project management class renovates the home of a local deserving family. The purpose of the project is to allow students an opportunity to learn project planning and management skills while at the same time have exposure to the benefits of community service. This quarter our students are putting together a 5k/10k walk/run event on the morning of Saturday, March 2nd to raise money for next quarter’s PolyHouse Project. This will be Cal Poly’s 5th annual run supporting PolyHouse. Now is the opportunity for local businesses and the community to put their mark on this courageous event. You can make an impact on this project in multiple ways. We are seeking donations in any form possible. This is through funds, raffle prize gifts, volunteering time, and simply your support. All donations would greatly help Cal Poly as an institution and even more significantly help a community member in need.
