If you are over 19 years of age ag e (as at 31st August 2010) you may be eligible for a waiver on your tuition fees (exam and resource fees are still payable). This will depend on the qualifications you currently hold and the level of study you are enrolling on. You may also be eligible for tuition fee remission if you are on the following income based benefits (SFA funded learners only): • • • • • •

You will need proof that you receive one of these benefits when you enrol. Please note this does not cover resource or examination fees. Fee remission is not available for Higher Education courses or overseas learners.
Is your employer paying your fees? You will need to provide a letter from your employer confirming payment at the time you enrol. Overseas & Non-European students pay different di fferent rates. Work-based training programmes also incur different rates of fees – please call us for details of these prices. POA – what does that mean?

Harrogate College has taken reasonable care to ensure that the information contained in this prospectus is correct at the time of going to press. Prospective students should be aware that it is sometimes necessary to cancel or modify courses prior to commencement due to low enrolment or funding changes, including (but not limited to) course content, dates, times, fees and entry requirements. Prospective students should confirm all details with our Course Information team prior to enrolment and commencement on a course or entering into any other financial commitment. You may also request a copy of the Harrogate College Fee Policy 2010/2011. If a student or prospective student has outstanding fees from a previous course, enrolment will be refused. If a course is cancelled by the college prior to commencement, Harrogate College will use reasonable endeavours to offer a suitable alternative course. If a student does not wish to accept or Harrogate College is not able to offer an alternative course the student will be entitled to withdraw and may receive an appropriate refund. Where a student is unable to continue, refunds will be made only in exceptional circumstances circumstances and at the discretion of the college.
