You will be happy t o know that we now have 16 Sponsor s. This i s an early count and we ar e trusting th e Lord t o continue t o provide i n His own wonderful way so that ou r food program ca n begin s h o r t l y a f t e r school opens.  Ve have four Christian teachers and other Christian staff. Our Ha Hait itia ian n Pasto Pastor, r, who with h is wife have moved into the new Parsonage will be teacliinr^ a daily C h a p e l . His V . ife will teach singing. Meanwhile, o u r Doctors a r c working hard i n t h e Clinic th re e afternoons a week and a r e doing an excellent job. However, we ar e s t i l l trusting th e Lord f o r a Nurse and have had two promises f or April. Teen Missions has sent Tracy Harder, a sweet Canadian gi rl t o assist u s . Tracy came December 1 s t and i s a great help i n t he office and Clinic hee school office. We keep he r bu busy sy He Herr supp support ort registration and w i l l a l s o work with t h comes t h r o u g h Teen M i s s i o n s .

Christmas was l o v e l y in our home. On Christmas Eve o ur ur Doctors brought a H a iitt iiaa n supper family ily and on Christmas Day we sh shar ared ed our dinner with a sweet young m i ss ss i o on n aarr y f o r t he fam couple who work a few m i l es from u s . But it was more than that. there was an inner joy that only God could feel and un

er e were 200 children from t h e ages of 6 to 14 wh o were unaccustomed to

a daily warm cooked meal with meat and vegetables... 200 children drinking milk... ildreen lea earrning ning to sit quie uietly tly and lis listen to a teach cheer. Here were child hildrren stan 200 childr

ding at th thee threshold of education and a future full of promise. They were al alll in first grade. Our four classrooms were equipped with the same prim primer er book books. s. September 17.1981. H e suffered a heart attack. He leaves behind hundreds of people in Haiti who had learned love and him on his three annual visits. He to the da worked untiringly all through few dozen patients days ys appreciate and and when there were still a few left after dark he worked by flashlight. These were days before the Clinic building was completed. In addition to his work hesent regular monthly supplies of drugs and

equipment for the clinic. He felt the need of our people and always included in his his lovely ly clothes for them shipments were love

But why do they keep coming? There are good r ea s on s for not coming back. Christmas holidays are an excellent time for earning much needed cash for school. The work is hard a nd nd m os os t of it in t h e hot sun. And n o t only d o you forf forfei eitt

the potential of earning money but here you are sp speend ndin ing g what you do have on air fare a n d groceries. It doesn t ad d up really. Unless. Unless you g et et d o ow w n to t h e nitty gritty an d search for t h e answers. So let s sear rc ch

people...in fact of most Christians. This often accompanies a drive to be busy «abou «a boutt the Fath Father er s busi business ness.. A work jaun jauntt to a foreign field gives a good good feeling

of a job well done. Then too once they come come they lose a little of them themss elve elvess and become a part of the work.
