Introduction to Electrical Engineering Below are some resources which may help you get an idea of some of the concepts in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. You can refer to these resources again if you want to learn more at a later stage. http://hades.mech.northwestern.edu/index.php/Electronics_basics#Basic_Electronics

Basic Linear Circuits Review Review   Inductors   Resistors (Ohm's Law), Capacitors, and Inductors Dividers   Voltage and Current Dividers Laws   Kirchhoff's Current and Voltage Laws Responses  RC and RL Exponential Responses  Passive Filters  Filters  Potentiometers   Potentiometers Using LEDs & IREDs  IREDs

If you want to learn more about the mathematics used in this material, the following resource may be useful: http://www.mathcentre.ac.uk/ http://www.mathcentre.ac.uk/   Some people find it easier to learn when they can look at examples or try things out. The websites below provide access to a simulator to simulate the concepts. Have a look at the simulations for the Basics. You can see value for the current, voltage etc by putting the cursor on the relevant element or wire. If you right click the mouse and select edit you can change some of the values in the simulation. Try this out and see if you understand the effect of the change.
