Mobile Core Planning (CS) Engineer
 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Telecommunications/ Electrical Engineering or

IMC

2. Maintaining the backup of all the international nodes as per the O & M Manual.
3. Preserving the toll ticket of the international calls.
4. Identify the international faulty trunks and report to front office staffs for further action.
5. Identifying the low NER destinations and taking corrective actions to improve.
6. Identifying the reasons for abnormal short duration calls on trunk groups and initiating
corrective actions.
7. Special attention to TOP25 destinations and identifying the international carriers with low
NER and follow up actions.
8. Co-ordination with carriers for new inter connection ( ISUP as well as VoIP), conducting
different tests as per ITU and RFC recommendation and implementing those new
interconnection after thorough testing and CDR verification.
9. Co-ordination with national NOCs for expansion of the existing network, new SIP connectivity,
re arrangement of the existing trunks as per the C & WS instructions and requirements.
10. Attending all roaming related complaints and escalating to the concerned and implement
the corrective actions if required. Coordination with roaming teams till the clearance of the
fault.
11. Attending all subscriber related complaints which are logged in CBCM and related to
international call issues.
12. Co-ordination with other carriers for their network expansion and transfer of carrier trunks
to their new international nodes as advised by C & WS.
13. Implementing all routing modifications as per the C & WS plans for all the destinations
around the world.
14. Implementing all auto transit whole sale routing in the concerned nodes as advised by C &

15. Attending all international carrier complaints related to retail and whole sale routing.

17. Up keeping of the B- Number table as per the destinations numbering plan with charging
parameters.
18. Implementation of ITFS, HCD, VoIP calling card and other VAS in the international nodes and
testing with the concerned international carriers. Attending complaints and investigating issues.
19. Coordination with POI section related to UAE other national operator and issues related to
them.
20. Maintaining the external tools such as Ascade Network provisioning database for the
automation of the routing.
21. Synchronization of the international nodes database as per the Ascade database with
respect to each international operators.
22. Maintain the Ascade assure database for automation of the test calls through direct and
indirect carriers.
23. Attending all issues related to CDR suspense issues, investigation and initiate corrective

24. Co-ordination with ISS section and implement the national security related data in the

 Ensure suppliers (COS(IT), data clearing,
etc) have accurate and current information
required to correctly process inbound and
outbound usage to ensure that roaming
partners and customers are billed
accurately.
 Work with Customer Care and IREG to
address customer experience issues and
track through resolution; report each
month
 Manages interfaces with the other
engineering sections within Central
Engineering.
 Provide inputs to other Roaming teams as
scheduled or requested in order to ensure
data is accurate and useful for strategic
analysis purposes.
 React appropriately to suspected high
impact roaming issues that may involve
roaming partners, COS, Fraud, or
Engineering
 Manage commercial support services for
other (external) Roaming functions relating
to SIM card exchanges
 Performance management and reporting
 Maintain LACs and Rehomes to optimize
roaming footprint and minimize cost by
working with IREG, regional engineers,
roaming partners. Prioritize and address
issues as they arise
 Manages the customer complaints of
Mobile network.
 Helping to build good customer relations
 Assesses the roaming complaints
parameters of Roaming services to meet
the requirements for new CCC (Customer
Contact Centre) agreement in order to be
reduced.
 Validate end-customer invoices for
Roaming services to ensure pricing is
correct
 Manages relations with various HO and
Region functionalities, e.g., C&WS (Carrier
& Whole Sale) and CCC (Customer Contact
Centre)
 Handling complaints and queries (from
customers and staff)
 Leads the preparation of periodic updates
on the operations of the network to
SD/GRS; recommends strategies of
Roaming Customer Support interventions
required to rectify/ improve the voice and
quality roaming parameters.
 Closely interfaces with Network Quality in
order to define and agree on KPIs in order
to reach GRS (Global Roaming Service)
KPI.
 Directs and executes the management
initiatives from conception through to
completion within and across all GRS
(Global Roaming Service) teams.
 Performance management and reporting
 Prepares, analyzes and reports department
status reports to the first line manager
 Arranging staff meetings
 Recruiting staff and doing appraisals
 Deliver a high quality in the service
delivery and implementation of Retail and
Wholesale specific products within the
expected timeframe
 Maintain and implement Rating related
change requests and updates to the
services, in accordance of established
timeframes and client expectations
 Assesses the technical parameters of
Roaming services to meet the
requirements for new agreement in order
to be launched as well as the existing
agreements.
 Support on 2nd level to roaming IREG
team and also roaming Support
 Manages relations with various HO and
Region functionalities, e.g., C&WS and
Marketing to address traffic/network
issues/concerns/criticalities involving inter-
region and international roaming
provisioning.
 Support C&WS teams on TAP Creation
projects delivering tariffs and related
configurations
 Investigate and analyze system generated
alerts and alarms related to Roaming
IREG/Support, escalate accordingly to
concerned functions
 Manages interfaces with the other
engineering sections within Central
Engineering
 Constantly improve on internal tools and
procedures
 Answer technical customer inquiries as a
product expert and guide them on
solutions for roaming related services
 Supports the GRS team leaders and
administrative support to managers.
 Manage roaming monitoring tools and
solutions including: Roaming Quality
Monitoring, Remote testing system and
any other testing/reporting applications.
 Coordinate with various vendors and
internal teams for new services or node
configuration requirements
 Utilize tools to proactively identify and
resolve operational roaming issues.
