INGRDIENTS OF BEER INGRDIENTS OF BEER
WATER: Beer comprises more than 90 % of Water. In the past, mineral content and
quality of water greatly influenced the flavour of the beer . At present any type of water can be used to prepare beer since water used are now being treated with chemicals .

BARLEY : Three types of barley are mainly used for making beer . these are differentiated
based on the number of seeds at the top of the stalk. Brewers prefer six-row barley as it is more economical to grow and also it has a higher concentration of enzymes needed to convert starch in the grain to sugar and other fermentable. Barley must be malted before being used to brew beer. Malting is a process of bringing grains to its highest point of possible soluble starch content by allowing it to sprout roots (germinate).

HOPS: Hops are a flowering with whose flowers are used as preservative. Their essential
oils add flavours (bittering hops) and aroma hops are usually dried before use and its bitter flavour effected during boiling.

YEAST: Yeast is a unicellular fungus mostly brewing yeast belongs to germs

• •

OPPURTUNITIES
• • • Growing beer market. Tie up with S&N to open export opportunities. Any deregulation in the excise policies with reference to taxation and duty on beer, which could drastically push up demand for the beer.
