Report on Leadership & Change management2

1. Introduction/Background.
It is our instructor's exercise that he gives his students two options
either to give presentation or to conduct a workshop, Sir Aseem
Majid Rizvi of Managerial Communication that’s the way he
works.
Therefore our class selected to conduct a workshop as it was
looking comparatively easier than giving presentation. Hence we
started, our teacher gave us basic guide lines how to work. He
suggested us to make groups amongst ourselves so that our work is
divided and also told us we all are managers of our work and have
to manage the work with responsibility. Six groups were made
amongst us finance, event management, marketing, logistics etc all
having different types of jobs to be done for workshop. After
making groups then the discussions were made among groups that
how to achieve the desired goal and how to make this workshop
successful.
In next class our instructor gave us some more guidelines in
addition to how to work in group level and he told to finance group
to collect Rs. 1000/= each from every candidate and to keep a
proper record of funds collected and then these funds may be used
for expenses incurred before or during workshop. In the same class
he asked all the candidates to give him names of some trainers as
he is going to select the best one then we were supped to invite the
selected one for our workshop. We finalized names of 3 trainers and
gave to our instructor and out of those three he opted Sir Subhan
Ahmed Mirchawala. A student name Rasheed invited Sir Subhan
Ahmed Mirchawala requested him if he could give us a little span
of precious time to attend our workshop as a Trainer and also
asked the topic on which he would like to do workshop. Therefore
he accepted our invitation and asked us that he want to present
workshop on leadership or change management.
After speaker was decided all groups start their work i.e. making
pamphlets, social media advertising, printing and arrangement of

certificates and other stationeries, arrangement of round table for
workshop, arrangement of Speaker etc. Furthermore logistics
group responsible for arrangement of refreshment. This is so
difficult to manage the entire task complete with the coordination
of all groups but somehow we manage this thing through team
work and complete all task on time.
2. Training Sessions
The opening of the workshop was start by Mr. Nabeel who
introduced Mr. Subhan Ahmed Mirchawala and invited him to begin
the workshop with his speech during the whole session he kept
moving in the hall to maintain eye contact with the audience and he
also gave various examples to make us understand the leadership
& change management. He even maintained his eye contact in
whole session during the refreshment break. After the break he
also had us carry out an exercise which helped us feeling the stress
as a result of change. In first half of session Mr. Subhan Ahmed
Mirchawala suggest some magazines and books to us which help us
in stress management.
Some main problems/solutions in change management he discuss
was that to manage change successfully it is essential to have a
good grasp of the likely individual response to change – how people
feel when going through change. When experiencing change people
often feel some describe below:
