campus facilities

Campus Facilities Mercy Academy has one of the finest high school athletic facilities in the state of Kentucky. All facilities are on our 24 acre campus, in which 12 of those acres are dedicated to our athletic facilities. Coaches and student athletes, for the majority of our programs, are provided everything they need right in our own backyard!

Monica Bohn Gymnasium The Monica Bohn Gymnasium is our main game gym. It is a state of the art facility that seats 1,200 people. The gym is fully equipped and provides an excellent atmosphere for home sporting events.

Mercy Gym 2 Look Inside... The sheer diversity of programs offered this summer at Mercy Academy, from volleyball to robotics, from vocal music performance to dissection, is a God-sent reminder that every student has something unique to give the world if they can just find the opportunity to look inside themselves and seize it - and at Mercy, you can, and you will.

FAQ About our Summer Program How can I register?

Mercy is now offering registration online for our summer programs. It is easy! Go to www.mercyacademy. com, click on Summer Camp Programs located on the left navigation bar, select which type of camp you are interested in and complete the form and payment process. You can also register by completing the registration form in the back of our camp guide and mail it along with your check to Mercy Academy.

Are your summer camps for girls and boys?

Most of our camps are for both girls and boys. Exceptions to this are the volleyball, field hockey, soccer, basketball (grades 4-9) and softball camps which are for girls only.

Can I participate in more than one camp?

Absolutely! Students can participate in as many camps as they would like as long as they don’t fall on the same day and time.

Where will your camps take place?

All of our camps will take place on Mercy’s beautiful campus located at 5801 Fegenbush Lane. If you need further information, please feel free to call us at 502-671-2010.

Mercy’s auxiliary gym is complete with wood flooring and is utilized for practices by our cheer, basketball, volleyball and softball teams. The auxiliary gym is fully equipped including a built-in indoor batting cage for softball and a full-sized foam floor for our cheerleaders.

Main Field & Track Mercy’s main playing field is located in the back of campus and is part of Evans Park. This field has held soccer and lacrosse games since it was completed in 2009. The field will be undergoing stadium improvements in 2013 as we replace the natural grass surface with a synthetic turf system. This system will provide an exceptional state of the art playing surface for lacrosse, field hockey and soccer. Field lights will also be added as part of our improvements. The improvements are scheduled to be complete by the start of our 2013 fall season. Also, surrounding the field is an eight-lane rubberized track that all athletes can utilize.

Bischoff Field

Fitness / Weight Room

Mercy’s Bischoff Field is adjacent to Mercy’s main field and is also part of Evans Park. Bischoff field is a Bermuda field and holds many practices.

Mercy’s fitness facility is utilized by our Health and PE classes during the school day and for conditioning by our sports teams after school. It is equipped with advanced exercise machines and weights for the development of our student athletes.

McAuley Field Mercy has one of the best softball fields in the State of Kentucky, McAuley Field, and it was completed in 2009. Amenities on the field include in-ground dugouts, an outdoor batting cage and bullpens. NEW in 2013 will be the addition of stadium lights to McAuley Field which will allow for night games. The stadium has a great atmosphere for home events.

Tennis Courts Mercy has six full-size tennis courts located directly on campus. The courts are hard surface courts and are utilized by our tennis team in the spring.

Ed Howard Training Room This is a sports medicine training area located just outside the Monica Bohn Gymnasium. The area is fitted with all of the necessary medical training supplies and a whirlpool bath.

Dance Studio Mercy’s dance studio is furnished with a modern Marley surface spring step dance floor, professional ballet bars and shatter resistant glassless mylar mirrors. The studio is utilized by our dance team throughout the year.
