10/10–03/11 JP Morgan Chase Houston, TX UNIX Security Systems Administrator In JP Morgan Chase’s worldwide environment, helped migrate Sun ONE LDAP 5.2 directory servers to Sun ONE LDAP 7. Also, I tuned and configured BoKS Keon master, replica and client machines in three regions (North America, Europe and Asia) across twelve domains. Worked to decommission old data centers and point clients toward active DC’s. Performed analytics by creating custom Perl scripts to parse log files to gather information and performed an array of other duties. 09/09–02/10 The Planet Internet Services Houston, TX Advanced Services Systems Administrator • In a 55,000 server environment, I along with a team supported the advanced services clients and did billable work on web servers running services including Apache HTTPd, Bind DNS, Exim mail server, QMail mail server, Postfix mail server and multiple other daemons. Support was performed over a support ticketing system and also by phone. Installed custom applications and performed security audits and patched any vulnerabilities found on the systems. Monitored over three hundred Snort IDS sensors on various networks all over the World. Used tcpdump and various filters to determine whether Snort incidents were false alarms or were actually virus outbreaks, hack attempts, mis-configured programs and other types malicious types of activity. 4/05 – 8/07 Petris Technology Houston, TX UNIX Systems Administrator • Created backups using Bacula backup system. Maintained RAID arrays, mail servers, Ftp servers, and various other duties of UNIX administration. I was responsible for over twenty five Solaris servers and ten Linux servers. I also configured and performed basic maintenance on Apache web servers, JBoss application servers and Apache Tomcat hosting Petrises proprietary software. I also administered FlexLM license management server and generated licenses for proprietary softwares Petris sold to customers in the oil industry.
