We are London
We are London’s most dynamic new venue following a £20 million refurbishment. We offer a modern home to London’s stories – the definitive backdrop for entertaining ahead of the Olympics in 2012.
The Museum of London offers over 3,000 sqm of unique and flexible event spaces by day or by night, a cultural gem right in the heart of the City. The Museum uses its collection of over 7 million unique objects and personal stories to inspire a passion for London. By staging an event in our galleries you have private access to our collections and the expertise behind them. 100% of our public and private venues have been designed with hospitality in mind. Our design standards have been praised internationally. Guests can enjoy food and drink throughout including in the galleries and gardens. We have flexible capacity options and the building is accessible through-out.

Whether you plan to host an exclusive drinks reception for up to 1,000 people or dinner for up to 350 guests, the Museum of London can provide the perfect setting. Your guests can enjoy a uniquely memorable event against the backdrop of this great city’s long and colourful history.
For conferences we offer a fantastic selection of rooms available for hire. Our state-of-the-art theatre can accommodate 230 people while our Clore Learning Centre provides flexible break-out and lunch spaces. The Sackler Hall
The Sackler Hall is defined by London’s only fully commissionable digital ellipse. At 48 linear metres and with integrated plasma screens your event can be enhanced by anything from its most simple showstate as a twinkling chandelier to a bespoke commission with dynamic film integration or interactive social media features.
With a capacity of 350 for seated dining or 500 for drink receptions, it is flexible enough to work equally well for award ceremonies, product launches, screenings and other presentations.

Entrance Hall
The Entrance Hall is a striking space to hold or start your event. With a contemporary style, this space is 409sqm of open space with a programmable lighting system and projector to enhance any event. The futuristic front desk converts readily into a bar, creating a strong central feature.
City Gallery
The City gallery is home to the iconic Lord Mayor’s State Coach, providing a breathtaking backdrop for any event. The flexible gallery of 250 sqm provides an intimate event space, or can be used in additional to the Sackler Hall and Inspiring London for large events.
Galleries of Modern London
The Galleries of Modern London are a combination of London’s rich history and latest in museum technology. Through touch-sensitive interactive displays and immersive experiences, the Galleries of Modern London will add a sense of glamour, excitement and drama to any drinks reception or dinner.

Upper Galleries
The Museum of London also offers four further galleries telling the story of London’s history from its first primitive steps in the Thames Valley right the way through to the Great Fire in 1666. These galleries can be used as an events space or as a route down to the Sackler Hall.

Weston Theatre
The Weston Theatre is a purpose built lecture theatre providing a high spec venue for lectures, conferences and presentations. The Theatre is fully equipped with audio visual and technical expertise are available on site.

Activity Spaces

Museum of London Docklands is Canary Wharf’s only Grade I listed venue – a distinctive background for entertaining. Facilities include a lecture theatre, a boardroom and two restored function rooms with quayside views as well as the Museum’s 12 galleries.
