PROJECT OVERALL GOAL 1. Develop, build and install research floating platforms to assess wind, wave and other environmental conditions. 2. Develop floating substructures to support current multimegawatt offshore wind turbines for 50‐200 m sea depths at a competitive cost

PROJECT ORGANIZATION PHASE 1: Theoretical and functional validation. COMBSHORE project funded by CDTI (Finished) PHASE 2: Design, construction and installation of experimental floating platforms. POM project funded by CDTI(Feb. 2009‐ Feb. 2011) • Scale tests in water tank. tank • Installation and instrumentation of 2 floating met masts. • Installation and instrumentation of a 300kW WT on floating platform. • Constructive, logistic and O&M development for floating offshore WTs.
