Pitch My music magazine will be called Noir. I chose this name because it is the French translation of the word black. The name fits in with my magazine because it is a reference to the genre of music my magazine will specialise in and I also thought that it sounded more subtle than just using the English translation black. In my opinion that sounded harsher as French is a softer, non- plosive language. It will be aimed towards people who are interested in music of black origin. It is aimed at an audience between the ages of 18 and 25 because I want my magazine to showcase current music, modern fashion, and issues that affect a younger audience. Music will be covered by interviews, news and reviews also so that readers are given a wide coverage on the music that they enjoy and also news that is related to it. The style of the magazine is a mix of avant garde, urban and classic hip hop elements as a result of the different genres the magazine will cover which also intertwine with the fashion features that will be included in the magazine. On the double page spread my magazine might feature things such as introductions to new artists, interviews with well-known artists and/or fashion/entertainment features closely related to the music featured in the magazine.
