Postgraduate study options  The Faculty of of Business and Economics Economics has one of the most extensive postgraduate offerings in the country, giving you more degree choices, and the opportunity to tailor your studies to your specic career goals. Certifcate and diploma Graduate Certifcate in Business is a four-unit course that may be undertaken as a

stand-alone award or as a pathway to a graduate diploma or master’ master’ss degree. It is designed to give you an introduction to a variety of business disciplines, however you can tailor the unit selection to your specic area of interest. Students who successfully complete the certicate

may be eligible for admission into a master’s master’s degree. Graduate Diploma in Business is an eight-unit course, designed for students who wish to extend their knowledge in general business principles. This is a exible program that allows you to take a number of broad business units, or a sequence of units relating to a specic discipline.

Coursework programs Most of our coursework degrees comprise 12 units. Full-time students normally undertake four units per semester and part-time students normally undertake two units per semester semester.. In some courses, you are able to exit your master’ master’s s degree early with a graduate certicate (four units)  

or a graduate diploma (eights units).

In some disciplines, you are eligible to enrol in a graduate or postgraduate diploma and, after completion of eight units, articulate into a relevant master’s degree. Special note about the Gippsland campus

Monash University and the University of Ballarat are exploring a proposition to create an expanded, regionally-focused university. university. Should the proposition be approved, the campus is expected to offer a range of courses that bring together the strengths of both Monash University and the University of Ballarat from 1 January 2014. If the proposition is approved, new students will be admitted into a full range of expanded courses of the proposed new university and Monash University will not be admitting new students (except from agreed pathways) into courses at the Gippsland campus.
