PRO AND CONS IN BIOTECH PRODUCTS GMF : Genetically Modified Food

Any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms or derivatives there of, to make or modify products or processes for specific use

Biotechnology is not just used in Biotechnology laboratories to modify genes, We all use biotechnology in our everyday lives!

 

GMF – Genetically Modified Food 

made by inserting genes of other species into their DNA



some foods are genetically modified to prevent the occurrence of allergies after consumption,



while some are developed to improve their shelf life. Some of the foods that are available in the market include cotton, soybean, canola, potatoes, eggplant, strawberries, corn, tomatoes, lettuce, cantaloupe, carrots, etc.



Though developers and manufacturers make sure that there are various advantages of consuming these foods, a fair bit of the population is entirely against them
