This presentation povides an overview about first feasibility studies of SAP NetWeaver PI on the cloud. The investigations are not complete as of today and need to be continued. Example areas that need to be investigated in more detail are security, performance, licensing.

Application Programming Interface (API) allows to access (create, modify, delete, read, search, activate etc.) objects in Integration Directory Examples: Communication channels, business systems, receiver determination, interface determination, change lists API is based on same configuration options that are provided by Integration Directory API access via synchronous Web Service WSDL files are stored in Enterprise Services Repository as external definitions API is fully implemented on JEE server and can be called by a client application API is particularly suitable for following types of scenarios: Mass changes in Integration Directory Create own views, statistics etc. of Integration Directory content Implement publish and subscribe scenarios
