The heart of this surveillance system is a DVR with features found previously only on high-end, high-priced professional equipment. H.264 video compression provides the maximum recording time on the hard drive while preserving the quality of the recorded video. Ethernet connection provides full system access to the DVR from any computer on your home network, remote access over the Internet and even access from your Android™ phone.
The intuitive on-screen GUI makes system set-up and exporting recorded video
easy. Save hard disc space and make retrieving video much easier using external alarm trigger or the built-in motion detection. Record to the DVR 24/7 for up to three weeks or set the DVR to overwrite earlier video so it never needs to stop recording. The system includes four weatherproof IR cameras that can see in the dark up to 50 ft., four camera power supplies, and a 4-camera networkable DVR. Note: camera cables not included.

BES GlowFish for running wire through existing walls
Glowfish rods are true glow in the dark pull rods that have a light sensitive compound incorporated into their fiberglass construction. A clear carrying case is included with the kits that keep the rods "charged" by available light and ready to go. Each Glowfish section can be screwed together as required, and features durable rust-resistant zinc-plated steel end fittings. Rods are available in lengths of 6 ft. and 3 ft. with either bullnose, male, or female ends, in diameters of 3/16" or super-flexible 5/32" and in single or kit form. The 6 ft. kits include one bullnose/female rod and four male/female rods with tips. The 3 ft. kits include one bullnose/female rod and seven male/ female rods with tips.

Camera Placement and Resolution » High resolution cameras are generally used in locations where a person can be positively identified. These areas include schools, markets, stores, or anywhere cash is exchanged and the potential of robberies is high. Placing the camera at the doorway or behind the counter is ideal. » Medium resolution cameras are designed for use in areas where it is important to know people are present. These areas include parking lots, driveways, and warehouses etc. where people might be at times they shouldn't. The camera is not going to show a great detailed image of the subject until they are within a few feet of the camera. » Low resolution cameras are great for the home or hobbyist. These cameras provide video for when a subject enters the area. Helpful hints: » A short focal length lens provides a wider field of view than a long lens. To estimate the view of a short focal length camera (4 to 3 mm) stand where the camera will be placed, cover one eye with your hand and look forward. This will be the approximate minimum view of the camera. » When designing your CCTV system, place high-resolution cameras (480 lines and greater) at doorways and areas needing greater detailed images. Lower resolution cameras are great if spaces are occupied but detail is not required. » Consider connecting your DVR to your home network. Accessing the DVR from your home computer allows you to easily copy and convert video files that can be used as evidence or simply shared for a laugh. » A surveillance system that is connected to the Internet allows you to monitor your home or business while traveling. Some DVR's include advanced notification features, so don't forget to set the DVR to e-mail alerts to you. » Although a camera looks large in your hand it will be quite less noticeable when mounted under a soffit or ceiling. The camera is normally more than 10 feet from the subject so don't worry about the camera being seen. » In commercial applications, knowledge of a surveillance system alone is a great deterrent to crime. Connect your system to a large monitor placed near the store entrance so all of your customers can see that you have thorough coverage.

Pre-terminated Siamese camera cables make installation of surveillance systems much less complicated. The RG-59/u coax cable is used to carry video from the camera to the recorder or monitor. The attached power lead will accept the plug from the camera’s power supply and carry operating voltage to the camera; quite advantageous when there is no power outlet next to the camera location. The video cable is terminated with a BNC connector at each end.

BES GlowFish for running wire through existing walls
Glowfish rods are true glow in the dark pull rods that have a light sensitive compound incorporated into their fiberglass construction. A clear carrying case is included with the kits that keep the rods "charged" by available light and ready to go. Each Glowfish section can be screwed together as required, and features durable rust-resistant zinc-plated steel end fittings. Rods are available in lengths of 6 ft. and 3 ft. with either bullnose, male, or female ends, in diameters of 3/16" or super-flexible 5/32" and in single or kit form. The 6 ft. kits include one bullnose/female rod and four male/female rods with tips. The 3 ft. kits include one bullnose/female rod and seven male/ female rods with tips.

Camera Placement and Resolution » High resolution cameras are generally used in locations where a person can be positively identified. These areas include schools, markets, stores, or anywhere cash is exchanged and the potential of robberies is high. Placing the camera at the doorway or behind the counter is ideal. » Medium resolution cameras are designed for use in areas where it is important to know people are present. These areas include parking lots, driveways, and warehouses etc. where people might be at times they shouldn't. The camera is not going to show a great detailed image of the subject until they are within a few feet of the camera. » Low resolution cameras are great for the home or hobbyist. These cameras provide video for when a subject enters the area. Helpful hints: » A short focal length lens provides a wider field of view than a long lens. To estimate the view of a short focal length camera (4 to 3 mm) stand where the camera will be placed, cover one eye with your hand and look forward. This will be the approximate minimum view of the camera. » When designing your CCTV system, place high-resolution cameras (480 lines and greater) at doorways and areas needing greater detailed images. Lower resolution cameras are great if spaces are occupied but detail is not required. » Consider connecting your DVR to your home network. Accessing the DVR from your home computer allows you to easily copy and convert video files that can be used as evidence or simply shared for a laugh. » A surveillance system that is connected to the Internet allows you to monitor your home or business while traveling. Some DVR's include advanced notification features, so don't forget to set the DVR to e-mail alerts to you. » Although a camera looks large in your hand it will be quite less noticeable when mounted under a soffit or ceiling. The camera is normally more than 10 feet from the subject so don't worry about the camera being seen. » In commercial applications, knowledge of a surveillance system alone is a great deterrent to crime. Connect your system to a large monitor placed near the store entrance so all of your customers can see that you have thorough coverage.
