Take a taxi to El Choco National Park where, “for a small fee,” you get a guided tour of the Cabarete Caves, “an easy two-hour walk into the forest. Not much climbing involved, with lots of stops. The caves are stunning. Bring a bathing suit and towel, so you can swim in the freshwater pool at the bottom of the deepest cave.
