As the infrastructure may have many changes over a short period of time, the backup application needs to be simple, reliable, flexible and scalable.

Replication
n With point in time replication you can
replicate any VM to another host which can then be used for disaster recovery. The VM is automatically registered to your backup server and ready to run. If change tracking is enabled, VM Explorer® will replicate only the changes to the new target host.
(e.g., for wide-area replication) or to save space on the target system, backups can be dynamically compressed.

File level restore
n Directly restore a single file from any backup
(FAT, NTFS and EXT) without restoring the full backup. VM Explorer® provides an integrated file level restore function.
