Why does poverty exist? That we may one day appreciate abundance. That we may one day transcend it. That we may one day self actualise. That we may one day free ourselves. That we may one day collaborate. That we may one day unite. That we may one day find peace.
Poverty takes on many forms, physical as in resource poverty, emotional as in cold heart, spiritual as in closed mind, time as in slavery to apparent duty. Poverty exists to be overcome, to be liberated from, to be transcended and reflected upon for the value it provided in our experience. Ask any refugee who now lives in the free world, escaped from poverty and now sat warm, with good food and shelter and children at school ... they appreciate their new found comparative wealth unlike anything that can be imagined by a mind born into comfort and security. Poverty exists to set us all free from the illusion of separation. Poverty exists that we may one day appreciate who we are.
